A running club with weekly Group Runs in Aurora, IL., Montgomery, IL. and Oswego, IL.
Until our first awesome Group Run in Montgomery at Mill and River! I’ve got a number of signups on the Meetup I made for it so it looks like there will be a good turnout.
If you haven’t done so yet, check out our Regular Routes page to get detailed info on where to park for the run and also check out the Route Map (Route A). I’ll try and have a sign by the parking lot also, so look out for that.
With one week to go, now is a great time to get a little head start if you haven’t done any running yet this season. Try and go out for 3 runs or run/walks this week! You’ll notice a big difference next week, and you’ll get that first bit of muscle soreness out of the way. Remember to start slow- If you’ve run before, aim for 20-30 minutes at an easy pace. If you are new to running, aim for 15-30 minutes of a Run/Walk. For a Run/Walk program, check out our Resources page and follow the links there.
Remember to bring water and sunscreen. Our after run discussion might take place at the trail, but if we decide to go somewhere for food, you may want to bring some sort of wipes or a damp towel to freshen up with.
If you have a lot of questions, or are new to running, feel free to show up 15 minutes early and we can spend so time going over things.
I’m going to take a group photo, so if you could happen to wear a fun or bright-colored shirt, that would rock. It’ll make the photo look way better.
